WordPress plans to continue working on security and stability

WordPress shows no signs of slowing down and is currently about five years into a ten-year project that involves rewriting its entire code base.

In a recent interview, Josepha Haden Chomphosy, CEO of WordPress, told SEJ:

“…next year, as with every year on a project like that, will ensure that we continue to be as stable and capable of a CMS as people have come to expect as we continue to push forward with a newer, more modern way to manage your content online.” ”.

WordPress implemented the Arturo 6.0 version change this month and within two weeks, 36.2% of WP sites had been updated.

Roger Montti reported that WordPress shared a proposal for a plugin checker that would improve site security and performance by also proactively testing plugins.

Wix publishes a guide to structured data for SEO professionals

Wix, which ranks third in CMS market share this month, released the “Wix Structured Data Guide: How to Use Standard and Custom Markup” in June.

Contributing author Mordy Oberstein, Head of SEO Branding at Wix, shared his comprehensive guide to implementing structured data in Wix here on Search Engine Journal.

“In less than three years, Wix has gone from supporting little structured data to offering SEO professionals and site owners the ability to do almost anything they want with relative ease,” Oberstein wrote.

He also noted that due to recent updates to the platform, any content on the internet on this topic is now out of date.
